I have  had folks congratulate me for doing such a good job with kids. Candidly, they've had a lot more time not with me than with me, so you can be pretty sure it's not anything I did. It's either the kid or the help with assignment writing bio parents. Just because bioparents have made some mistakes doesn't mean they didn't do a great job in some other ways.
